Keep motivation high
It is recommended to use a bedwetting diary throughout treatment.

Start the diary for a week or two before starting up the treatment. It gives you a good idea of how often bedwetting occurs before the treatment start. A dry night may be marked with a plus (+) in the journal and a wet night with a minus (-).

During the FERMI treatment the diary is an important document in the process. Also during the treatment mark a dry night with a plus (+) and a wet night with a minus (-). Remember that when an event occurs, it is simply part of the learning process. When the number of alarms and wet nights becomes smaller, the number of pluses (+) emphasizes the positive progress.

At the beginning of treatment there may be several alarms per night, which is good for learning. Alarm sheet must always be replaced after an alarm and alarm system should be used throughout the night.

Achieve the best result
Very small amounts of urine activates an alarm tone in order to awake the user who urgently need to get out of bed and go to the toilet to empty the bladder.

It is very important that the user quickly gets out of bed and to the bathroom so the relatives must, in the first phase of treatment, be prepared to wake the user if the user does not hear the alarm.

It's a good idea to involve the user through explanation and demonstration.

Allow the user to assist in the preparation of the unit.

Remember to drink normally
It is important not to change the amount of drinking before bedtime. Do not drink less than usual. If the user have stopped drinking for several hours before bedtime to avoid wetting the bed, the user must start drinking normally again. If not, there will be no "accidents" that the body can learn from.

How long before the treatment works
There is a big difference in how long the treatment needs to take, but in most cases the user will experience having a dry bed already after 4 to 6 weeks.

To prevent relapse, it is important to continue using the unit for a minimum of 8-12 weeks.

Efficiency of treatment
The results with the use of Fermi unit is very good. According to user surveys 7 to 8 out of 10 users learn to stay completely dry at night. It is very likely that the first dry night will not come right away, but gradually during the first few weeks. Usually it takes 3 to 4 weeks to learn to control bladder function, in some cases even less. There may be setbacks, but in the event you will often get good results with a new treatment.
Print out the motivational sheme above and use it to follow the positive development
